Bengal College of Teacher Education (populary known as BCTE), established in 2007 by the visionary educational society Gopsai Avinandan Sangha, Registered under West Bengal Societies Act XXVI, 1961 is a teacher education institution located in a remote area of Paschim Medinipur named as Chandrakona Town where education for all was distant dream. BCTE was born out of a deep conviction that education is not a privilege for the few, but a right for all. In areas where access to quality education is limited, we stand as a beacon of hope nurturing future educators who, we hope, will carry the torch of learning into the heart of underserved communities.

We offer Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programs that blend academic rigour with social consciousness and Master of Education (M.Ed) that incorporates educational leadership amongst students with advanced pedagogy. Our students, many of whom come from economically and socially marginalised backgrounds, are empowered to become compassionate, skilled, and visionary teachers. Through a curriculum rooted in values, innovation, and community engagement, we prepare educators not just to teach, but to transform lives.

This decision reflects their commitment to expanding the accessibility of Sanskrit education and promoting the rich cultural heritage embedded in Sanskrit literature beyond their campus. Not only Sanskrit, Students interested to study Science Stream in H.S and have keen interest to explore our own culture, i.e Sanskrit, will have the opportunity to learn both at the same time under Central Sanskrit University.
